Dr. Cao Lei has extensive experience in developing safety and energy efficiency standards for commercial vehicles, supervising transport safety, and managing on-site road accident response. He has led policy research on new energy heavy-duty trucks, autonomous driving, and the protection of truck drivers’ rights. He is currently responsible for safety, energy conservation, and emission reduction in road freight transport, as well as for the internet-based freight industry and truck driver welfare.
