Transport globally accounts for nearly one-third of total final energy demand and about one-quarter of the global energy-related CO2 emissions. For the sake of our health, environment, and climate we need to rethink solutions that support environmental, social, and economic sustainability while meeting the surging demand for mobility worldwide and ensuring access for all.

What should be the fuel mix of a sustainable transport systems? What role can renewables play? Should we look for global or local solutions to meet energy needs of the transport system? This panel will bring together experts from science, politics, transport, and energy sectors to discuss the potential of renewables in achieving sustainable transport.
