This session aims to spotlight how gender-responsive urban mobility systems are a powerful catalyst in decarbonizing transport and creating a more inclusive and integrated transport system and society for all.
The sessions focus will hone into why women as leaders and active participants in planning and policy decisions is essential for the development of gender-inclusive transport systems. Women in positions of authority as heads of transit agencies, planners in transport departments, and policymakers working on transport systems can significantly influence the planning and design considerations of our cities urban transport networks.
The Global Alliance on Feminist Transport and Regional Networks will highlight policies, measures and tools they have used to support women enter and advance in the sector.
