Cornie Huizenga

Cornie Huizenga is an expert on sustainable, low carbon transport. He served as the first Secretary General of the Partnership on Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT), the largest multi-stakeholder partnership on sustainable, low carbon transport in developing countries. He was instrumental in raising the profile of transport in the UNFCCC as well as the process around the Sustainable Development Goals. Prior to his involvement with SLoCaT, he had a lead role in the establishment of Clean Air Asia, the leading regional NGO on air quality in Asia, of which he also served as the first Executive Director. He has provided consultancy services to a wide range of development organizations. He currently is the Teamleader for the Asian Development Bank initiated Asian Transport Outlook.
