Dounia Houssini Squali
Dounia Houssini Squali is a civil engineer, graduate of the Mohammadia School of Engineers in Rabat (Civil Engineering, Building, Roads and Bridges, Class of 1994).
She began her career in 1994 at the Moroccan National Motorways Company (ADM), where she worked in the Operations Department. The following year, she joined the Ministry of Equipment, taking on several technical and managerial responsibilities. She first served as Officer in charge of concessioned motorways, then as Head of Technical Services within the Directorate of Studies, and later as Head of Strategic Studies Services.
In 2013, she was promoted to Head of the Division of Strategic Studies, before being appointed in 2020 as Head of the Division of Transport Modes Coordination. Since 2022, she has been leading the Division of Sustainable Mobility and Innovation within the Directorate of Road Transport.
In her current role, she is actively involved in the design and implementation of climate and sustainable mobility actions in the road transport sector. She is also a member of the National Climate Change Commission, where she contributes to the development and alignment of national strategies with the country’s decarbonization and sustainable transport objectives.
