Martin Memmel

Martin Memmel studied mathematics and computer science at the TU Kaiserslautern and works as a researcher at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) since 2003. He initiated and led numerous projects with partners from research, industry and public administration and authored a variety of national and international publications.
He is head of DFKI’s SmartCity Living Lab (SCLL) where innovative approaches for the city of the future are tested and researched at the Kaiserslautern site in cooperation with numerous partners. The SCLL aims at using modern technologies sensibly and systematically to contribute to sustainable urban development in various areas.
