Glenn Kwabena Gyimah
Glenn Kwabena Gyimah is a climate change and engineering expert with a focus on green and sustainable engineering projects, sustainable energy solutions, waste management and the circular economy.
He has led groundbreaking projects in combating climate change, assessing climate risks to green projects, designing solid and liquid waste treatment systems, and integrating climate considerations into engineering practices.
He has over nine years of experience with the Group in liquid and solid waste plant engineering. He played crucial roles in several notable projects including fixed and mobile municipal solid waste processing plants, wastewater treatment plants and wind power plants. His areas of expertise include energy systems, plant operations management, engineering project and contract management, plant systems design, installation and maintenance, as well as mechanical and electrical (M&E) works supervision.
Glenn K. Gyimah holds a PhD and MEng in Mechanical Engineering. A certified Member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Member of International Association of Engineers (IAENG), Hong Kong and Certified Menber of Ghana Institute of Engineering with over 19 years’ experience in the engineering industry, academic training, management, research and innovation in government institutions and private businesses in China and Ghana.
He serves on the National Mirror Committee (Ghana Standard Authority). A member of ISO/TC 323 Circular Economy – Framework, Principles, Terminology, and Management System Standard (Active in WG1, WG2 and WG4) – International Standard Organization (ISO) and a member of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) United for Smart Sustainable City (U4SSC). He also serves on the Technical Committee of Developing the Electrical Vehicle Standards for Ghana (Ghana Standard Authority). Glenn has attended many conferences and authored over 16 scientific publications.
