Jane Akumu has over 20 years of experience in promoting cleaner mobility in Africa.  She joined UNEP in 2004 and has been working on environmentally sustainable transport in Africa. Prior to that, she worked for the Kenyan government - at the Ministry of Finance and National Planning, and the Ministry of Energy.  She holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Nairobi and Masters degree in Economics from Carleton University in Canada.
