Jenna Ruokonen

Jenna Ruokonen is a Project Researcher at LUT University specialising in the transition of the chemical industry towards a fossil-free future. Her work focuses on renewable carbon value chains, renewable methanol, Power-to-X technologies, and the role of policy and innovation in accelerating industrial defossilisation across Europe. She collaborates with industry, policymakers, and research organisations to identify practical pathways for scaling low-carbon technologies and strengthening industrial competitiveness. By bringing together technological, economic, and policy perspectives, she helps translate research into actionable strategies for a sustainable and resilient industrial transition.
