Francois Cuenot
François Cuenot is a transport and automotive policy expert at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). He works within UNECE’s Sustainable Transport Division, with a focus on sustainable mobility, vehicle regulations, fuel economy, air pollution and the transition towards cleaner and more efficient transport systems. He has contributed to international work on vehicle emissions, life-cycle assessment, electrification and transport decarbonization, including through UNECE’s Working Party on Pollution and Energy (GRPE). He is also interim secretary to the Working Pary on Noise and Tyre (GRBP).
He has also been involved in UNECE’s work on transport data and modelling, including the Transport Data Commons and the ForFITS tool, which supports governments in providing access to quality data and assessing transport policies and their potential impacts on Energy and emissions.
Prior to UNECE, François has worked at the French agency for energy transition and at the International Energy Agency, on clean mobility topics.
