How can we accelerate the transition towards more climate-friendly refrigerated transport? And what does my daily banana, mango or vaccines to do with decarbonizing transport? This session explores how cooperation between development partners and the private sector can help bridge this gap. Drawing on the collaboration between GIZ’s Greener Reefers project, Kuehne Climate Center and Thermo King, speakers will discuss practical experiences, lessons learned and the conditions needed to move from pilot initiatives to pushing the shipping industry for safe, energy-efficient and safe maritime freight containers.
