Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) are widely discussed as an essential instrument to reduce GHG emissions of global aviation. But policy instruments such as RefuelEU Aviation target small shares of 2 – 70 % of SAF over the next decades. Can’t we go faster? In order to reach net zero, we need 100% SAF in aircraft tanks in the future! What still seems like an unattainable vision from an industrialized perspective, has a lot of potential in the developing context – because this solution has even more benefits than positive climate effects!

In this webinar we invite experts to look at the scenario of 100% SAF fueling from different perspectives:  Which fuel type is going to be the first for 100% SAF fuelling? What is the state of ASTM regulation and fuel qualification, on future pathways? What are airlines and airports doing to prepare their operations and infrastructure for this new reality? And can’t 100% SAF be a development vector for countries to join the selected group of sustainable fuel producers?

In this webinar, relevant stakeholders will share their perspectives on these questions to develop a common understanding of the vision and benefits of 100% SAF refuelling.
