Dr. Ma. Sheilah Gaabucayan-Napalang

Sheilah is a professor at the School of Urban and Regional Planning of the University of the Philippines and the current director of the Office of Research and Publication, and president of the Transportation Science Society of the Philippines. She is one of the core members of the Women in Transport Leadership (WiTL), a knowledge-sharing network aimed at empowering female-to-female collaboration in Asia and Australia to address diverse transport challenges. In 2023, she was recognised as one of the 30 Remarkable Feminist Voices in Transport by Women Mobilize Women, the global flagship initiative for women in transport. Her research interests include just transition to low-carbon transport systems, inclusive transportation with consideration of intersectionality issues, and transport safety.
