Rume Oshenye

Publicity Secretary
Electric Mobility Promoters Association of Nigeria (EMPAN)

Rume Oshenye is the founder and CEO of EVC Point Nigeria Limited, the company behind ConnectVolt, an electric vehicle charging infrastructure mapping and energy intelligence platform built for the Nigerian market. The consumer app is live on Android and iOS, over a hundred charging stations have been verified in the field rather than compiled from secondary sources, and a production API extends that data to partner platforms.

Her work addresses a gap that holds the sector back. Nigeria has no shared view of its charging infrastructure, and chargers run variously on grid power, solar and diesel generators, often at the same site. Without reliable measurement, operators cannot evidence what they deliver, government cannot plan around it, and financiers cannot underwrite it. EVC Point Nigeria is working to build that measurement layer.

Rume serves as Publicity Secretary of the Electric Mobility Promoters Association of Nigeria (EMPAN), where she leads the association's communications and stakeholder engagement and represents it in industry discussions on investment and financing for electric mobility. She is also working with EMPAN to develop a national registry of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, which aims to establish Nigeria's first industry-governed dataset for the sector. Alongside this, she contributes to national and continental policy work on electric mobility standards and data.

She was recognised among TUMI's 2026 Remarkable Feminist Voices in Business and is a finalist for Women Leading EV Technology.

Before moving into electric mobility, Rume spent her career in the UK working within Private Client Tax as a Chartered Tax Adviser. She works between Abuja and the United Kingdom.
